Once there is a willingness to see, the question is not:
How do I make myself see?
It is:
What is standing in the way?
And that answer may be different for each of us.
Sometimes what stands in the way is a thought that needs to be questioned.
Sometimes it is a belief we have never examined.
Sometimes it is an emotion that has never been fully allowed.
Sometimes a memory still carries meaning or fear.
Sometimes the mind understands completely, but something within us continues to respond as though the old understanding were still true.
And sometimes, what is being held cannot simply be thought through or explained away.
The work is not to apply the same solution to everything.
It is to meet what is here in the way it needs to be met.
Sometimes through inquiry.
Sometimes through feeling.
Sometimes through stillness.
Sometimes through forgiveness.
Sometimes by allowing what has been resisted to come into awareness.
And sometimes in ways that do not fit neatly into words at all.
What stands in the way of clear seeing is not always held in the mind alone.
We are not only our thoughts.
We also carry emotion.
Memory.
Belief.
Fear.
Ways of relating to life that may have become deeply familiar.
The work may move through the mental, emotional, spiritual, and energetic dimensions of our experience.
Not because these are separate boxes we must work through…
but because what obscures clear seeing may be held in different ways.
And what is held differently may need to be met differently.
